Warranty
Consculpt warrant our products for a period of two years from the original date of purchase. Proof of purchase may be required within any warranty process undertaken during this time. We warrant that the product will not have any manufacturing defects provided it has been installed properly and cared for correctly.
Consculpt products are made from a natural material. Each one has its own unique look and style and there will be some colour variation, pinholing (the small surface holes) and general surface variation. Like our customers, each piece is distinctive and each will gain character over time. And, like our customers, the characteristics stated within this paragraph have no influence on the structural integrity of the piece.
Consculpt is not responsible for any and all costs associated with labour or installation charges, removal of the existing product or any other expenses associated with a defective product. Consculpt’s sole responsibility is replacement or repair of a defective product.
Construction. Our concrete basins, benchtops and other products are created in moulds. When each Consculpt product is removed from the mould they may have some pinholes, along with other voids and discolorations. These are not considered manufacturing defects, rather they are a part of the natural appearance of the concrete product. This warranty applies only to products that are permanently installed and that have not been moved from original installations.
With products like those constructed by Consculpt any voids and cut-out areas can be weak points, and such areas are susceptible to small cracks. This is not deemed a manufacturing defect. Due to reinforcing used such cracks are aesthetic rather than being structural.
Condition. The colours, feel and aesthetic of Consculpt products can look different in photos. That’s why we suggest you purchase sample pieces or inspect physical samples prior to manufacture. We want to ensure you are comfortable with your final piece.
Exclusions. This warranty does not cover chipping or pinholes occurring during fabrication or through ongoing use. Nor does it cover edge chipping, surface damage caused by wear and tear, cracking or discolouration due to the product being subjected to high heat, or damage caused by improper use.
The warranty does not cover mishandling or misuse, cracking around voids and cut-outs, damage from physical or chemical abuse and damage from improper care and maintenance including, but not limited to, that caused by cleaning with abrasive substances. This warranty does not cover scratches, stains or any chemical damage. This warranty does not cover any installation failures to benchtops or cabinetry due to inadequate support or unlevel cabinetry.
This warranty does not cover seam appearance, seam performance or hairline cracking around cut-out areas on the product during or after installation. This warranty does not cover the altering of any factory-applied finish. Nor does it cover additional modifications (i.e. plumbing, electrical, tiles, cabinets etc) that may be necessary to repair or replace the product under this warranty. This warranty does not cover routine maintenance and minor conditions such as stains, acid etching, revealing of pinholes and water spots that may be a function and result of proper care and maintenance.
Returns. Consculpt does not offer exchanges, replacement or refund for change of heart, or if a client has a personal aversion to the colour, amount of pinholes or surface variation of the product. Consculpt may request that you supply the physical product for assessment to identify the cause of any defect, a process that may include high resolution photography. Where the warranty claim is deemed valid, Consculpt will replace or repair the product if it falls within the warranty period and meets all conditions outlined within this document.
Your duty of care: You have a duty of care for the Consculpt product while it is in your possession. If you damage this product then subsequently return it you may be liable for payment to pay to repair and restore the product to its original condition. In these circumstances, where a repair is not economically viable, no refund will be made.
